The route of light

Ruta de autor, by La Arriera and the Santa Mònica arts centre, invites you to follow El recorrido de la luz (The route of light), an itinerary full of street flashes and reflections on the possibility of illuminating the city in a collaborative, inclusive way and with less iconic images, closer to the crowing of a rooster or a family hug.

This walk will take us through different parts of the Raval neighbourhood, where we will discover the interventions and the history of the #RavalKm0 project, which has been illuminating the neighbourhood every year at this time since 2016.

The route will be a participatory exercise mediated by Ruta de autor, a collective with which we will create an itinerary and a dialogue based on the different perspectives that constitute artistic intervention in the city. We will walk through some of the neighbourhood's streets to get closer to #RavalKm0 and the opportunities it opens up to inhabit, create and transform public space by and for people.

This activity is part of the community project Luces Comunes promoted by La Arriera and Santa Mònica, and is created especially for this occasion by Ruta de autor.
