"Suddenly entering through the window means entering without a previous moment that conditions the experience, without any mediation. Moreover, it means doing so through a threshold that is not the usual one.
This is a project of mediation with the architecture of the centre of arts Santa Mònica in which I don't try to bring the public closer to a misunderstood architecture, but to act as a medium with an architecture that no longer exists: an art centre agonistically at the service of art.
The space of the Santa Mònica is suggestive because of the history of its forms. With a series of interventions, a story of phantasmagoria is reconstructed that allows us to talk about architecture, but also about literature, philosophy and art".

Xavier R. Safont is a young architect and artist who combines his professional practice as a designer with disruptive research experiments to explore the limits of his profession and the everyday experience of space. His artistic projects are often action-research projects that directly involve the body and the space it occupies; he also works with ephemeral installations that interrogate or interpret the architecture of the place.
