PERFORMING CURATION 2023

PERFORMING CURATION is a democratic experiment in open curatorship in the framework of which the Centre d'Arts Lliures - Fundació Joan Brossa, the Santa Mònica arts centre and the L'Estruch creation factory invite you to participate in the selection of the artists who will take part in their programme during the ARTefACTe exhibition of performance practices.

ARTefACTe is a laboratory of new cultural institutionality that promotes contemporary performance practices and performativity studies. Within this framework, PERFORMING CURATION is an experiment in testing the margins of possibility by encouraging citizen participation in the design of art centre programmes.

With this in mind, PERFORMING CURATION invites you to participate in the two selection sessions for performance artists participating in ARTefACTe3 at the Centre d'Arts Lliures - Fundació Joan Brossa, the Santa Mònica arts centre and the creation factory L'Estruch, in autumn 2023.

With the aim of allowing the registered artists to participate in the selection process of the artists of this programme, PERFORMING CURATION will dedicate its first session to share a formative space around the current performance art scene in Iberia.

- SESSION 2. Saturday 27 May. 11 a.m. Santa Mònica, La Rambla 7, Barcelona.
Deliberative assembly for the selection of the artists participating in ARTefACTe3 within the PERFORMING CURATION programme.
