Pensar-con sobre el vivir-con

In her book En tiempos de catástrofes, Isabelle Stengers asks about the paralysis that affects the way we relate to climate change, a paralysis that lies in the distance between "what we know" and "what mobilises us". Bruno Latour argued, in Cara a cara con el planeta, that the climate crisis is fundamentally about a profound mutation in our relationship with the planet. Donna Haraway, in Seguir con el problema, invites us to think-with as a way of addressing "the problem". It seems that the question is no longer the "what", or even the "how", but that it is necessary to address the "between".

The conversation between Paula Bruna, Jean-Danton Laffert, Daniel López del Rincón, Lucia Stubrin and Paula Vicente has been conceived as a collective exercise in which to share projects that serve as a trigger to formulate ideas around the idea of thinking-with, as a way of tensing inherited imaginaries and activating other places from which to look. We are interested in artistic practice as a way of generating imaginaries and methodologies that de-oxidise this paralysis and allow us to try out alternative ways of thinking about the problem and relations with the planet, at different scales.

This activity is part of a series of initiatives that various researchers are developing within the framework of the research project TEIDE - Temporalidades de Emergencia. Imaginarios, Diagnósticos y Ecologías.
