Rite of passage promoted by (crear)Situacions
Activity open to everyone and free of charge with limited capacity
(crear)Situacions invites you to visit and celebrate the dismantling and assembly of the new exhibition at Santa Mònica!
During the month of January, the Santa Mònica remains open while working to dismantle the exhibition Dozing on the accidental provocation and prepare the next exhibition.
To make these processes visible, highlight them and reflect on the idea of moving, the group of (crear)Situacions, Santa Mònica's curatorial training programme, takes the reins of the centre and presents "MU-DANÇA", a series of proposals in various formats and points of view:
- Essonti Must Nyongo, by Agnes Essonti Luque: a performance in which the artist, in front of a bag of "Ghana Must Go", will generate what could be her survival kit from the objects that make up her work Bush butter i swit fo mboa and which forms part of the exhibition in disassembly Dozing on the accidental provocation.
- Mudança Sonora (Sonorous Moving): a proposal in which the DJs La Niña Jacarandá, Titi Calor and Rivers Z are invited to carry out an experiment that consists of maintaining the transition between songs for as long as possible; new sounds will emerge from this fusion.
- Sarao: a psycho-magical moment where energy is generated through dance. The event will be brought to a close by this proposal that brings together everything that has inhabited the centre with what is there to inhabit it.
The process will be accompanied by the screening of Noli me tangere, a project by the students of the Pericot School and the Xifra Institute of Girona.
