On the occasion of LGBTQ+ Pride Day, the Mostra is programming this session dedicated entirely to the Canadian video artist T.J. Cuthand. Seven pieces that explore his experimental work on sexuality, madness, love, indigenous identity and queer culture, produced between 1995 and the present day.
T.J. Cuthand is a filmmaker, video artist and performer who was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, and grew up in Saskatoon. Since 1995, he has made videos and experimental films about sexuality, madness, love, indigenous identity and queer culture that have been screened and are screened at international film festivals such as Tribeca, Mix Brasil Festival of Sexual Diversity (Sao Paolo), ImagineNATIVE Festival Toronto, Frameline San Francisco, Outfest Los Angeles, Oberhausen International Short Film Festival and the Berlinale.
