Moving with the institution

Rəndəring. The institution in transition.

Workshop by the choreographer, performer and architect Esther Rodríguez-Barbero, who will explore and play with the possibilities of space, movement, bodies and voices that are generated when the protocols that usually direct them are in suspension. Rethinking the possibilities offered by the architecture of the centre and the processes of setting up and dismantling its exhibitions, the artist will activate, together with the people who will participate in the activity, a reflexion in movement on the protocols, agents, schedules, types of behaviour and interactions that guide and direct the bodies that pass through these spaces. The activity thus proposes a "dismantling" of the everyday life of the centre at a time when it is not supposed to receive visitors. The artist and participants will design and performativise relations and bodily/spatial presences that question the behaviours that we carry out inside an art centre, interacting and intervening also in those materials and construction processes that are temporarily in place. The activity will generate alternative forms and temporalities of inhabiting the institutional space, turning it into an experimental and playful place.
