Space to connect with matter, flesh and breath
General public
Free activity with a limited capacity of 20 people, with previous registration at:
santamonica@gencat.cat
Living flesh is a space to connect with matter, flesh, breath, bodies. From, for and with the senses. Not just yoga classes. Not just dance. Not just deep listening sessions. Not just guided meditations. A somatic laboratory. A caretaker of fascia. A decentraliser of logocentrism.
Carne viva was born as an initiative of the education and mediation guild of the centre of arts Santa Mònica, as part of the actions of a device/space/zone of collective learning to take care of ourselves.
Meteorology of bodies
A meeting place, a practice of listening and sensitisation through contact, from which to experience the intersections of bodies when they are conceived not as fixed and separate entities but, like the weather, constantly changing; vibrations, meteorologies, intensities... that course in transit, through, between, here and hereafter of bodies-and-the-world. Little dances, tiny dreams, images in transformation that melt the armour of the ego, as we embrace our rigid cells and sealed memories floating in the liquid of time.
A way of celebrating that bodies continue to be vibrant, in vulnerable relationship-with-the-world.
