Institution without institutionality?

Rəndəring. The institution in transition.

Is it really possible for the art institution to break with the dynamics of action-production-contemplation? Is it possible to intervene the space in such a way as to dismantle the cyclical and mechanical structures of the public presentation of projects?

The four-week intermission between two exhibitions is presented to us as a moment in which agents, protocols and narratives that characterise and define the public art institution are disrupted. This conversation raises a range of questions based on the premise of the institution as a structure that conditions and configures relations, uses and discourses, with the aim of talking about artistic practices and their effectiveness (or failure) in producing symbolic capital.
