A musician is built by the academy. Thought to be functional in the auditorium. But what happens if we take it out of its context? The greater the distance from the place where the musician is built, the greater the possibility of analogy with visual art. And therefore the more possibility for poetry to be born. When the artist is decontextualised, the limits of the artistic disciplines become blurred. Where does the musician end and the dancer begin? An ear is not a being", said John Gage, to show that music can also be seen, and the musical fact does not end with listening.

To inhabit exhibition spaces as if they were our home. Where we are comfortable, where no one is looking at us. Where the exhibitionist act of performing becomes intimate and domestic.

The Col·lectiu FREE’T is a group of artists from different disciplines who base their work on improvisation.

They have an open laboratory where they investigate collective improvisation by working on the investigation of common parameters, the influence/interaction between different disciplines and the observation of joint creative processes.

One of the tools they use for their creations is Soundpainting, a multidisciplinary sign language of live composition. This language is learned and interpreted by musicians, dancers and visual artists; it comprises more than 1200 signs that are used to generate, organise and develop the material in the live creations.
