Project of art, science and health
IN_CERT is a project that arose in the context of a pandemic and a health crisis without precedent in our times, which aims to make visible the links between science, art and health, the transformative capacity of art and also its social and humanistic dimension.
The social, health and economic upheaval caused by this pandemic forces us to ask questions to which we may not find answers, and it is also essential to ask ourselves, to think about them: does science have limits, are we more afraid of the certainty of death than the uncertainty of life, what limits do we have as a society, how do we deal with risk, how do we deal with risk, how do we deal with risk, how do we deal with risk, how do we deal with risk, how do we deal with risk, how do we deal with risk, how do we deal with risk, how do we deal with risk?
How do we deal with risk? What will our future be like?
This proposal is the result of a complex year's work. At Can Manyé we have brought together a stable working group made up of artists and people linked to the art world with scientists, researchers and doctors from the Hermanos Trias Hospital (Can Ruti). For a whole year the group has debated this new reality, with the participation of psychologists, philosophers and artists who have worked in a pandemic scenario. The collective work and the pooling of ideas has given us a glimpse of what could be a post-pandemic scenario, a scenario that looks like IN_CERT.
The programme, which began on Sunday 12 September with the last performance of the play This undiscovered country that doesn't let any of its travellers return from its borders, aims to explore, share and expand reflections. An invitation to rethink the exceptional nature of the moment we are living through a series of cultural proposals and contemporary thought.
