Every selfie tells a story

This workshop is part of the research project: ‘Selfiestories y personal data: hybrid methodologies for the analysis of visual narratives in digital culture '.

Every selfie tells a story; yours too.

Beyond topics and prejudices, the uses of selfie are varied, but they have in common to be part of a personal narrative, which occurs, to a large extent, in social networks. Departing from the experience and results of the project ''Selfie stories and personal data', in this workshop we would like to explore, in a practical way, the relationship between selfies and everyday, extraordinary, disruptive, activist or simply enigmatic stories. The workshop will consist of different parts where we will introduce the project, but above all, we will explore stories of selfies from images, hashtags and other data. We will work with different group configurations as well as experience different formats and materials. Bring your selfie!
