The XI ACCA Symposium is presented as a space from which to address a set of situations that come to characterize the employment situation of most professionals who are part of the field of contemporary art and culture. This edition is conceived as a reflection around the precarious working conditions of the so called liberal professions -to think if the adjective brings us closer to liberty or liberalism- related to writing, curating and other hybrid models associated with mediation and cultural management or artistic production. Intellectual production in terms of value of use contains virtually infinite limits and it is difficult to quantify, nevertheless it is an essential task in our precarious context, especially when it comes to defend ourselves against the abuse of words such as "symbolic capital" and "visibility" in addition to understand a reality where hierarchies and gender differences are still in force.
