II Prize in Literary Journalism UAB
Activitat oberta a tothom i gratuïta amb aforament limitat
The activity will be, as noted, a panel discussion on the new voices of literary journalism, plus the announcement of the decision of the Second MeCoPH Literary Journalism Award.
In recent years we have experienced a crop of new literary proposals documentary, with the publication of anthologies of literary chronicle in various publishers and the Nobel Prize for Literature from 2015 to Svetlana Aleksiévitx, among other examples of this return of taste literature fiction non-documentary. The Master in Literary Journalism, Communication and Humanities at UAB promotes, for two years, a prize of documentary narrative that seeks to extend the knowledge of the rich tradition of reportage saturation and literary forms of documentality. The award is open not only to students and alumni of the master but everyone who is attracted by the practice of this narrative journalism. The first edition of the award resulted in the book Cuando encuentres a Malinowski (Ed. Base), in which the three best stories were published, and in this second occasion wanted to form a jury of first level, with renowned writers, as Gabi Martinez or Leila Guerriero, and fundamental academics in this field as the director of the master, Albert Chillon.

This act of awarding is organized by the Master in Literary Journalism at UAB , an initiative which already has five editions and with a large presence of international students.
