The Institució de les Lletres Catalanes (ILC) has organized an homage to the poet, essayist and playwright Lluís Solà (Vic, 1940) to celebrate his literary career and commitment to Catalan literature, on the occasion of the publication of his complete poetic works.
The literary critic, D. Sam Abrams will provide commentary on the poet, and a number of public figures, writers and poets will participate in the event: among others, the editor Josep Cots and the poets Vicent Alonso, Jordi Pàmies, Carles Camps, Víctor Obiols, Víctor Sunyol, Núria Martínez-Vernis, Maria Antònia Massanet, Montse Caralt, Rosa Ardid and Rosa Cadafalch. Poetry readings will be interspersed with video screenings and listening to the poem El cant del lloc [Song of the place], with music by the composer Josep Baucells.
The evening will be introduced by Laura Borràs, director of the ILC, accompanied by Anna Erra, mayor of Vic, and Susagna Roura, councilperson for culture at the Vic City Council.
