Art i Robòtica

Book Presentation with Roberta Bosco and Ricardo Iglesias

With new technologies, art has outlived its classic status "object to contemplate" and has entered the field of direct interaction with the public and the environment with those who build new languages and aesthetic objects. Robotics, spearheading the evolution of many sectors (economy, industry, medicine, etc.) has an artistic dimension that offers a boundless field to interactive experimentation. This essay points out the enormous potential that this production represents for the future of the arts and, through a historical, literary and aesthetic tour, shows the theoretical and practical proposals made by artists in the field of robotics, from the first automats s . XVIII until the last sensitive machines, through the figure of the cyborg or social robotics.
