The session will be in Catalan and Spanish language.
The Culture’s Department of the Government of Catalonia, through the Catalan Institute of Cultural Companies (ICEC), has an ongoing relationship with companies and professionals of the cultural sector and encourages their participation in European projects, from the Creative Europe Desk – MEDIA Catalunya, assigned to the Markets Area of the ICEC. The #EuropeCalls sessions are one of its tools bringing knowledge of the European supports to the Catalan cultural companies. The Culture and MEDIA (audiovisual support) subprogrammes are widely treated in these informative and training sessions, as well as other programmes where the cultural sector can also have possibilities to be benefited by the European supports.
The #EuropeCalls session on Thursday March 31st, 2016, dedicated to the new call for proposals to support the Literary Translation Projects of the Creative Europe Culture Programme and organized with the collaboration of Creative Europe Desk Culture Spain, aims to encourage and promote the participation of the Catalan publishing sector in this call. The idea is to inform about the news of the call of this year and help cultural publishers that already have a project of this type, providing useful recommendations and trying to solve possible doubts.
It will feature the presence of Augusto Paramio, head of the Creative Europe Desk Culture for Spain and Technical Director of the General Department of Cultural Cooperation with the Autonomous Communities of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, who will explain the guidelines, and with Laura Huerga, from Rayo Verde Editorial, as a case study. The infoday is aimed at publishing sector operators especially interested in this line of the program, whose deadline is scheduled for mid-April 2016.
