This exhibition’s main objective is to become a key meeting point in which contemporary dance in Catalonia can gain visibility, recognition and context. An exhibition to provide artists or artistic groups a place where they can open up their work to new exhibition experiences, to enable them to access to a more diverse audience at a different venue and a different exhibition format.
 
IN SITU also aims to bring contemporary dance closer to its audience by locating the exhibition in an emblematic place in the city, away from the usual performing arts exhibition circuit, and create a place for dialogue between artists and spectators to enable them to share the creative process of each artist. 

IN SITU has opted for an adventurous programme, presenting experimental work, which explores new language in the field of performing arts.
 
The exhibition combines performances and debates, together with activities that are open to the public prior to the exhibition (“Open Sessions with the artist”), designed to make the exhibition more dynamic while creating an ideal ambiance in which to set up a debate between spectators and artists.
