Pascal Comelade, Pierre Bastien, Carles Santos and Joan Saura each composed a piece for soloist and mechanical orchestra, performed on stage too alongside CaboSanRoque. The works enrich the fantasy world of the mechanical orchestra. With Pascal Comelade, a grain of sand slides in the mechanics, charging with it its love of popular music; Pierre Bastien adds a touch of elegance in an amusing endless game with a small Mecano machine that moves the great CaboSanRoque; and Joan Saura (who died in 2012) drives to more mysterious climates and makes us breathe this strange machine which suddenly becomes almost human (this was Saura’s last composition before he died; this time, CaboSanRoque is played with the mechanical orchestra and the sampler is substituted by other instruments).
