In 1966 Basilio Martín Patino wrote nine letters to Berta. Almost 50 years later, Virginia García del Pino tries to write the tenth. A letter shared between her and Basilio Martín Patino, the portrait of a fleeing identity that inquires, under the precept uttered by Patino himself of “forgetting all requirements about it”, into what remains of that rebellious student who wrote to Berta in 1966, the start of a brilliant career as a filmmaker.
 

About the director
Virginia García del Pino is a non-fiction film director and the director of projects in the Master’s in Creative Documentary Filmmaking at the UAB. Her works have been shown in many festivals, along with museums and contemporary art centres. In 2008 she won several prizes for El que tu dius que sóc (What You Say I Am). was submitted to Punt de Vista and FIDMarseille, and it was shown at New York’s Anthology Film Archives as part of the Spanish Non-Fiction Cinema programme. Her first feature-length film, El jurat (The Jury) (2012) was part of the official section of FIDMarseille, FICValdivia and Punt de Vista.
