At Santa Mònica we offer you the chance to do an internship with a grant in the Exhibitions, Mediation and Education and Communication units.

With these grants we want to open the doors of the arts centre to students and university graduates so that they can get to know the teamwork of the speciality and thus contribute to their practical training and job placement.

The call for applications for internships from April to July 2024 is now open.

The application period ends on 23 November 2023.

 

Modalities: 

a) Support for the Exhibitions Unit (1 grant)
Amount: 1.075,00 euros per month (gross) per person.
Duration: 4 months. Starting date: 1 April 2024.
Timetable: 30 hours a week from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours between 10:00 and 19:00 h.

Collaboration in the coordination and production of exhibitions:
- Support in the coordination of exhibitions and in the coordination of itinerant exhibitions.
- Research and documentation of materials to be included in exhibitions.
- Contact with lenders and producers.
- Support in the management of image and intellectual property rights.
- Implementation of information about the materials in the data processing of the exhibitions.
- Support in the elaboration of explanatory documents and dossiers of the projects.
- Research of institutions and contacts for possible touring.
- Support in the compilation and writing of contents for communication.

Specific educational requirements: degree in Art History, History, Philosophy, Anthropology, Humanities, Arts, postgraduate studies in Cultural Management or in the artistic or humanistic field.

 

b) Support for the Mediation and Education Unit (1 grant)
Amount: 1.075,00 euros per month (gross) per person.
Duration: 4 months. Starting date: 1 April 2024.
Timetable: 30 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours between 10:00 and 19:00 h.

Collaboration in tasks of coordination, accompaniment and production of projects and activities of mediation and artistic education:

- Collaboration in the conceptualisation and design of mediation and artistic education programmes, projects and activities linked to the exhibition cycles (programme "(creating) Situations", guided visits, activities with schools and specific audiences, mediation activities around the contents of the exhibitions, among others).
- Collaboration in the accompaniment of research proposals in artistic mediation developed by resident artists (Les Mòniques grant programme).
- Support in the generation of forms of knowledge transmission between the different processes active in the centre, as well as between the people involved.
- Support for Santa Mònica's participation in community networks and projects.
- Support in the development of collaborations with the contemporary artistic sector on a local, national and international level.
- Assistance in the production of mediation and arts education programmes, projects and activities: design and monitoring of production calendars, budget management and control, documentation, design of educational materials, among others.
- Collaboration in the monitoring of the participatory space and collection of indicators of the actions of the Mediation and Education Unit.

Specific educational requirements: degree in Art History, Humanities, Arts, Education, History, Geography, Anthropology, Philosophy, Social Education, postgraduate studies in Cultural Management or in the artistic or humanistic field.

 

c) Support to the Communication Unit (1 grant)
Amount: 1.075,00 euros per month (gross) per person.
Duration: 4 months. Starting date: 1 April 2024.
Timetable: 30 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours between 10:00 and 19:00 h.

Collaboration in communication and dissemination tasks for exhibitions, activities and projects at Santa Mònica:
- Collaboration in the search for target audiences and dissemination of activities of own production and maintenance of databases.
- Artistic creation of content for the dissemination of the creation processes active at the centre within the framework of the #SantaMònicaPerDins project and support in its coordination.
- Monitoring and archiving of information about Santa Mònica published in the written and digital media (press compilation).
- Support in the creation and publication of multimedia content (recording and editing of audiovisuals, photographs, videos of interviews, summaries of activities, etc.).
- Support in the drafting of texts for newsletters, websites, dossiers and other elements for the dissemination of activities produced in-house.
- Collaboration in the monitoring of the participatory space and collection of communication indicators.

Specific training requirements: degree in Audiovisual Communication, Journalism, Advertising, Audiovisual Media, Humanities, Philosophy, Arts, postgraduate studies in Cultural Management or in the artistic or humanistic field.

 

Who are they aimed at?

Individuals who meet any of the following requirements are eligible for these grants:

  1. Be enrolled in the studies required for the type of grant for which they are applying and have passed a minimum of 120 credits, or in a postgraduate, master's or doctoral degree directly related to the aforementioned studies, during the academic year that ends in the year in which the grant is awarded.
  2. Hold a degree in the studies required for the type of grant for which they are applying, or in a postgraduate, master's or doctoral degree directly related to the aforementioned studies. It is necessary that the degree entitling them to access the grant has not been obtained for more than five years.

 

How to apply?

To apply for a grant you have to submit an online application through the portal of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

The application period ends on 23 November 2023.

When submitting the application, you must identify yourself electronically, fill in the corresponding form and provide the following documentation:

  1. Copy of the documentation accrediting that you have a degree in the studies required in base 3 or that you have enrolled. In the case of official university degrees from the Spanish State, it is not necessary to provide them if you authorise the examining body to consult the corresponding data.
  2. Certificate of having passed credits in the event of being studying the required studies, in accordance with base 2.a).
  3. Copy of the transcript of records showing the average mark for the studies required in base 3.
  4. Detailed curriculum vitae of the applicant, specifying the studies required in base 3 and all those aspects that can be assessed in accordance with base 7. The curriculum vitae must expressly state, where applicable, the type of contract, the scholarship or internship carried out and the number of hours of training or work and collaborations.
    Only studies and merits that can be accredited with documentary evidence may be included in the CV so that they can be valued. The lack of accreditation means that the aforementioned studies or merits will not be valued.
    In the case of online publications, the link to the website where the publication is to be found must be included. If the link is not included, it will not be valued.
  5. Responsible declaration, included in the application form, that the conditions required by these rules are fulfilled.
  6. Copy of the documentation accrediting all the skills that can be assessed in accordance with base 7 and that have been detailed in the CV.
  7. Document of communication of the personal and family situation of the recipient of earned income, or of its variation, to the payer (form 145). This can be obtained from the following Internet address: www.agenciatributaria.es.

 

Valuation:

The same person may opt, provided that the requirements are met, for one or up to two modalities, indicating the order of preference in the application. However, in the end, the applicant may only be selected and benefit from one of the modalities.

The assessment will be made in two phases: assessment of the curriculum vitae and a personal interview with the six applicants who have obtained the best score for each type of grant in the CV assessment phase.
